Masala TV held a highly successful Press conference to launch their latest programmes - ‘Handi’, ‘Live at Nine’, ‘Barbeque Platters’, ‘Kitchen Garden’, ‘Weekend Edition’, ‘Chef on the move’, ‘Around the world in Amina’s kitchen’, ‘The rice files’, ‘Rang de India’, ‘Family Secrets’, ‘Cookn Cowboys’, ‘Temptations’ and two fillers ‘Annie’s Health Tips’ and ‘Party Meals’.
For the first time since the channel’s inception, all the Karachi-based ‘Masala’ chefs including Zakir, Guizar, Shai, Zubaida Tariq, Amina, Tahir Chaudhry, Aniqa and Tehmina were present along with the hosts of the programmes.
The conference was hosted by Shenaz Ramzi, GM Public Relations and Publications Eye Television Network Limited (ETNL).
She mentioned that the channel’s ratings were the highest in the country, and that Masala had launched its own magazine - Masala TV Food Magazine and its own DVDs.
Show-reels of all the programmes were shown, after which the chefs spoke about their programmes. Hosts, Annie, Kiran Khan, Taufiq Pasha, Omer Salim, Sana and Abeel Javed also spoke about their shows.
Ather Viqar Azeem, SW’ ETNL, and Sultana Siddiqui, president ETNL, who were also present on the occasion, fielded questions by the Press which included amusing ones such as “Who eats all the food which the chefs cook?”.

Dear Zakir
You are great . My Family loves your recepes. However I wish to add a little advice. We should educate pakistani viewrs. In that I like to point out that all the chefs on Masala tv commit a very serious mistake when they tell about certain recipes. They always say ” lemon” FOR “‘NIMBU’. Lemon is very different fruit. IT is very big, oblong and very yellow in clour. What we use is ” LIME” and not lemon, Lemon isonly used in European countries. What we use is LIME .Nimbi is LIME and not LEMON. Please educate others. I shall be very obliged,
Take care and Allah Hafiz

i have watched a few episodes of handi.i did like the recipes but was bored and irritated by the repitetive description of abeel.i was also suprised by their lack of knowledge when they commented that it is amazing that dry ingredient do not freeze in the freezer. how can ingredients without water freeze?
