First MTV Pakistan music awards in May

With Nadia Hussain and Waqar Ali Khan as hosts, it was announced at a press conference that the MTV Music Awards 2009 will be held sometime this month.
It was also made known on the occasion that several international artists will attend as well as perform at the event. The authorities chose to remain tight-lipped about the date or location of the event out of security concerns for local artists as well as those who would be visiting.
