PTV arranges special transmission to commemorate founding anniversary of China

Pakistan Television has arranged a special live marathon transmission on October 1 to commemorate the 60th founding anniversary of People’s Republic of China.The transmission entitled - Dosti Himaliya Se Buland - would start from 8.00 a.m. till late night from PTV Home Centre, Islamabad as a token of everlasting friendship between the two countries, said Managing Director, PTV, Arshad Khan here Wednesday.
On this auspicious occasion, he hailed the longstanding and all-weather friendship between Pakistan and China and acknowledged its unbelievable progress in every sphere of life.
He expressed his warmest felicitations to Chinese people and hoped for further strengthening of mutual relations that may fortify in the coming eras.
Mr. Khan said PTV has launched its special transmission to greet the great Chinese on their 60th Independence Day.
It merits mention here that the transmission, produced by Farooq Haider and Haider Ali Shah is likely to be anchored by Mrs. Sofia Shahid and Farooq Hasan.
The special guests from different sections of the society would highlight importance of the occasion. They include Fateh Muhammad Malik, Dr. Anwar Siddiqui, Akram Zaki, Fakhar Zaman, Habib ur Rehman and Chinese Ambassador in Islamabad.
During the day long transmission, PTV will also telecast special programmes including dramas, documentaries, thematic songs and special testimonials of prominent personalities like Mahtab Rashdi, Amjad Islam Amjad, Dr. Muhammad Ali Siddiqui, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Mustansar Hussain Tarar, Naeem Tahir, Nayyer Kamal, Hamidullah Hashmi, Aftaf Iqbal Shamim, Taj Haider, Asim Bukhari and others.
The famous song “Pak Cheen Dosti Zinda Baad” would be televised at different intervals whereas a documentary “Double Happiness” a long duration drama “Paiman-E-Wafa” directed by Xu Haunzi and Rafique Ahmed Warraich, a special documentary “President Bhutto’s Visit To China” and another long duration drama “Rishtay Aur Raastay” written by Taaj Haider and produced by Bakhtiar Ahmed would be telecast during the transmission which is being aired for the first time in the history of national media.
