Geo TV starts new quarter with soaps

Geo TV started its new quarter from Monday with new dramas and soaps. On Tuesday ‘Kahe Ko Biyahi Badais’, ‘Massi aur Malika’ and ‘Tanveer Fatima BA’ will start.

‘Kahe Ko Biyahi Badais’ is a social family soap. A young, good-looking and intelligent girl naming Mehru wants to study further but her family wants to marry her off. She secures first position in her division and her aunt brings her to the city so that she could achieve her goal and helps her out regarding her admission to the university.

After the initial problems with her aunt’s family and fellow students, she befriends Fatima whose mother, Salma, is a politician. Salma does not welcome Mehru at her home, causing tension and resentment. Cast features Beenish Chouhan, Sohail Asgher, Perveen Akber, Shehzad Raza, Naeema Garaj, Arif Baleem, Shabbir Jaan, Rubina Ashraf, Ahan Khan, Madiha Iftikhar, Kanwal and Sami Khan.

‘Massi aur Malika’ is the soap about the rollercoaster of a ride that took a girl from rags to riches and back. Samina was born as the daughter of a Massi but had always wanted to live the life of a Malika. She does everything possible to turn her dream into reality, crushing everybody under her feet. She succeeds in her ambitions and gets everything she always desired. But then it dawned upon her that her sweet dream was actually nightmare because she did not expect that her plans could have side effects. She began to lose control of the situation and her glass castle started to break up. The cast includes Ayesha Khan, Mehwish, Abid Ali and Kashif Mehmood.

Another soap, ‘Tanveer Fatima BA’, is the story of a lower middle class family. There are various types of people in the story including a potpourri of funny, passionate, bitter, naughty and greedy characters. This provides an abundance of interesting possibilities within this washerman’s family. Revolving basically around Tanveer Fatima who is a student of BA and for this reason her parents have to take a stand as most of the family members are opposed to the idea of letting her study further.

For this reason her parents have hired a male tutor, and it complicates the lives of some of the family members even more. The cast includes Shabbir Jan, Samina Ahmed, Nayyar Aijaz, Omaima Abbasi, Danish Nawaz, Shahnaz Pervaiz, Darakhshan Tahir, Syed Nabeel, Rubina Arif and Yasir Nawaz.
