Absar Alam joins Aaj News

After departure of Talat Hussain from Aaj News to Dawn News, top journalist and analyst Absar Alam has joined Aaj News. He would be hosting Aaj News’ top current affair shows. Absar brings with him a lot of experience and has contributed vastly to many leading channels and news publications who have prospered and led their way to the top through his guidance and experience. He has previously worked with Geo News and Dunya News.
Absar’s hardwork and incredible journalism got him the recondition, when in 2005, he won the world’s most prestigious fellowship for journalists, Nieman, and went for a year of studies to Harvard University, which is the best international seat of learning and knowledge for hundreds of years.
During his Nieman year at Harvard, Absar studied politics and culture, human rights and international security and political economy at Kennedy School of Government. He had a learning experience with world-renowned scholars such as Noam Chomsky and Samuel Huntington.
Absar also attended Boston University School of Journalism for TV Newsroom Management and Writing of TV News Reports. Absar is one of the top investigative journalists in Pakistan and one of the handfuls whose work spans war reporting, terrorism, economy, power politics, human rights, foreign policy, and violence in the society.
Absar has extensively reported for The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Al-Ahram of Egypt, and daily Tokyo Shimbun. He spent a year in Singapore working as Deputy Editor for monthly Asian Water, a subsidiary of daily Asia News. He has a multidimensional journalistic experience and whilst keeping investigative reporting as core discipline, Absar has anchored and scripted political programmes on television. Aaj News has earned a reputation of encouraging gallant journalism and induction of Absar in Aaj News team will raise the bar even higher.-

on today program about the doctor issue,in which u were showing the oath,i think like many people of pakistan specially pollitition and beaurocrates ur english is too week please read the oath again ,it is nowhere mention that a doctor is bound to deliever his duties at the expence of his or his family s life and benefit,and work like donkeys in hospital for 36 hour in a single strech,and when u deployed police in hospitals to threat doctors and their families if they ask for their right,
