Maliha Lodhi joins Geo TV

Dr. Maleeha Lodhi, a former editor and ambassador, has joined Geo Television as an Advisor on International Affairs.
As part of her contract, she would be directing the channel’s international engagement and travelling extensively to interview important political personalities and people who matter. She would also be on the group’s editorial board.
Apart from her responsibilities at Geo, Dr Maleeha would be writing exclusively for The News, which she helped launch in 1991.
Maleeha, who was earlier the editor of The Muslim (now defunct), has also been Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States and United Kingdom.
She obtained her PhD in Politics from the London School of Economics in 1980 and taught there for five years (1980-85) and briefly at the Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.
In 1994, she was selected by Time magazine as one of the hundred global pacesetters who the magazine said would define the next century.

Last night i watched her on a talk show about the current situation between Pakistan and the US on PTV. I was really impressed by the clarity of her views. Her arguments were very precise and insightful….. Really good.
