Geo TV in collaboration with Sahara One is soon going to start a musical program in which people from all over the Pakistan and India will participate. This program will also work as a path of peace for both countries. This TV program is a part of Geo TV’s campaign Aman Ki Ashaa that aims for better relations between India and Pakistan. A few years back, a TV show Sa Ra Ga Ma: Little Champs was started under the program of Aman Ki Ashaa in which kids from Pakistan participated and performed in India.
In this upcoming program Sur ki Baazi, famous singer and composer of Pakistan Atif Aslam will make a team and will lead it in this show. Another team will be lead by Indian singer Himesh Reshamiya. Both the team leaders are very famous and well known in their respective countries. Atif Aslam has sung many famous songs like Adat, Jal Pari, Who Lamhe, Tu janay Na and much more. He has also acted in a Pakistani movie Bol. Himesh Reshmiya is also a very famous singer and actor. His famous songs are Tera Saroor, Aap ki Kashish, Aik Baar Aja and many more. He has acted in five Hindi movies Karzz, Radio, Damadamm, Aap Kaa Surroor and Kajraare.
The judges of this show will be Asha Bhosle, Runa Laila and Abida Parveen who will evaluate the performers along with Atif Aslam and Himesh Reshmiya.
This show is going to start with a name of ‘SURR KI BAZI’ in Pakistan on GEO TV and it will be started in India by the name of ‘SURR KSHETRA’ on Sahara TV. It will have ten contestants from India and ten from Pakistan. Selected candidates from Pakistan will be sent to Dubai so that they can start their preparations and can give their best. A lot of people from UAE (United Arab Emirates) specially came to Pakistan so that they can take part in these auditions.
The show is going to be hosted by Aishaa Takia. Ayesha Takia is one of the most famous Indian film actresses and she has worked in many Indian films like Wanted, Taarzan, Shadi Se Pehle, Dil Mange More etc. The coach for the Pakistani team is Rustan Fateh Ali Khan. Rustam is going to train Pakistani contestants and will teach them different singing techniques.
The teaser of this show has been launched and you can watch it on different channels of Geo Network. You can also see the promo that has launched in India and in this promo Himesh Reshmiya is calling people for the auditions.
